The CliC:ME team has begun work on Project RISE (Resilience, Inclusion, and Skills for Environmental Migration and Adaptation) in collaboration with the World Bank.
This new initiative explores how education can become a powerful driver of climate adaptation and human mobility. Using high-resolution spatial data, the project maps future climate impacts, poverty, and migration trends, with special attention to communities at risk of climate immobility. RISE will assess how investments in skills training, digital literacy, and inclusive education can strengthen resilience, reduce climate poverty, and expand safe mobility options—offering practical guidance for policymakers seeking long-term, people-centered adaptation strategies.
