Abstract

Jan Kinne introduces ISTARI webAI and shows how the data can be used in research. ISTARI.AI’s webAI system scans all of the approximately 20 million corporate websites in Europe and North America once a month. WebAI analyzes the content of the websites and evaluates them in terms of the companies' activities in the areas of technology, innovation, sustainability and networking. The results can be analyzed as company-level indicators via the webAI platform and freely combined with keywords. Analyses over long time series also become possible via web archives.

Jan Kinne is co-founder and CEO of ISTARI.AI, which started as a research project on web-based innovation indicators at ZEW Mannheim. Moreover, Jan Kinne is a postdoctoral researcher at ZEW and a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University.
