Prof. Mayoral is a tenured researcher at the Institute for Economic Analysis (CSIC) and research affiliate at the Barcelona School of Economics. She is interested in political economy, the analysis of conflict, economic development, machine learning and econometrics. Her work has been published in leading journals such as Science, American Economic Review, Econometrica, Journal of Monetary Economics, Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Economic Growth, and the International Economic Review, among others.
