This presentation will provide an overview of Luxembourg's high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure, focusing on MeluXina, one of Europe's most powerful supercomputers. It will introduce how MeluXina functions, highlighting its key capabilities, hardware specifications, and the types of computational tasks it supports. The talk will also illustrate typical use-cases and explain the practical aspects of accessing and utilizing MeluXina resources. Moreover, the presenter will briefly share personal experience and insights from using MeluXina in data science research, outlining the benefits, challenges, and lessons learned. The goal of this session is to offer attendees a clearer understanding of HPC environments, encouraging effective integration of such powerful computational tools into their research workflows.
