A group of young Ukrainians plays the GG

LISER received a visit from a group of young refugees from Ukraine on Monday 1st August.

This visit is part of the "Diplom + Ukraina" programme of the Ministère de l’Education Nationale, de l’Enfance et de la Jeunesse, whose Vocational Training Department is in charge of a training programme for young Ukrainians during summer.

LISER opened its doors to these young people, aged between 17 and 30, to introduce them to its activities in a playful way! Indeed, by playing the GG (Gender Game), the young people were able to get an overview of the different research topics and methodologies in the social sciences, but also of the usefulness of research for political authorities and society in general. Discussions also focused on how gender stereotypes continue to influence the personal and professional choices of girls and boys, women and men.

A presentation of the Luxembourg research sector, LISER and LIST, the two institutions currently developing the Gender Game in the framework of an FNR-funded project, closed the visit.
